The Gambia, which has one of the lowest crime rates of all the countries in the sub-Sahara region, has a police force which is making all efforts to make the country as crime and drug free as possible. Its purpose, among other things, is to attract, retain, and promote foreign investment as well as guarantee the safety of those enjoying the hospitality of this lovely country's tourism industry.
The Gambian Police Force has succeeded in creating and maintaining a generally conductive atmosphere by involving The Gambian public and it attaches a significant importance to entertainment. On the picture, is the Gambia Police Music Band in action at Vision Technical Education Center’s graduation ceremony in Kotu on Friday 20th February, 2015. They are thrilling the students, parents and civilians at large with some beautiful cultural songs.
It could be recalled that the Army Band also rocked the country’s music industry few years ago with their famous song called ‘Afingjang’, a song loved by all and sundry and enjoyed a lot of airplay on GRTS.
This is an unarguable mark of the everlasting peace that the smiling coast of Africa continuous to enjoy.
