Modou Mbakay 26 year old man from Jarra sankuya in the Lower River Region is suffering from multiple disabilities "physical, epilepsy and speaking difficulties". Mr Mbakay who is from a poor family background has been sleeping under a leaking roof during the rainy season with no proper bedding or mosquito nets. According to Mr Ousman Jallow (head blogger of the “GT Voice of the disable blog) “Mr Mbakay, like most of my fellow people with disabilities especially those who are suffering from epilepsy and mental illness, are usually neglected and not given proper care. They are often excluded from social integration. With just few calls, the charity was able to raised £90 for the above project, special prayers and thanks to the donors for their kindness. Modou's roof was renovated with new corrugates. There are no more leakages, new bedding, mosquito net and epileptic medication tablets were also provided to Modou Mbakay. The charity Representative also sensitized the family and neighbors about integrating Modou and other folks with a disability in the community. A special thanks to all our donors, representatives and membership in the globe for your continuous supports. Mr Jallow concluded the press release by sending special regards to all the people with disabilities, the almighty God “for giving us the strength and ability to peruse our goals.” More about Mr Jallow and his support for people with disabilities projects can be found on the GT Voice of the Disability blog or on his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ousmon.jallow.1?fref=ufi.
