Abdourahman Fatty, a one-year-old boy and a native of Tallinding is urgently in need of overseas medical treatment as recommended by the Edward Francise Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul.
The patient as indicated in the medical report suffered burns on his left hand, six months ago. His left hand “is in a state of band contraction of the three fingers; therefore the hand lost partical function.”
The medical team of the Edward Francise Small Teaching Hospital was through an exhaustive in their services and now concluded that Abdourahman Fatty needs plastic surgery for soft tissue release, which could not be done in The Gambia.
The family of the patient thus seeks financial assistance from the government, NGOs and individual to undergo treatment.
