While her peers were busy searching for boyfriends, she was busy searching for knowledge. She was barely seen at inter house or inter schools sports activities, “Ebbeh/Nan mburu” days, Fashion shows and other “fun” activities for the average Middle or High School girls. Guess what though, she was very involved with other academic related extracurricular activities and one could see fun all over her face while participating in them. She is a great debater, an orator, a writer and a youth activist. She has grown from being a girl to being a woman of strong voice. She lead and influenced a lot of young people throughout her school career. The former GRTS Newscaster is a role model to a lot of young girls. A real philanthropist and a true Gambian Pride. She travelled to the four corners of the world chasing knowledge and representing The Gambia at international platforms. And yes, she indeed represented to the fullest. In the spirit of Gambianism, please join us in congratulating Fatoumatta Ndure and her husband Dr. Kajally Jobe,PhD Chemical Engineering who got married on Friday May 30th 2014. On the said date, Matta wrote on her facebook timeline
“The best relationships are built on friendships. You have had my back and been a great friend for about a decade. Prioritizing me through thick and thin,... even as you spent nights in the lab wrapping up your PhD in Chemical Engineering, you would still find time to call on a daily basis. You are my best friend... and a romantic one too. Proposed at the top of the London Eye! You make me soo happy Dr Kajally Jobe ...... and am super excited to officialise us today. I love you plenty!!!”
